Serializations

Cassandraemon 1.0 has completely reworked object serialization mechanism. When you write objects to Cassandra or read objects from Cassandra, this new mechanism automatically kicked in under the hood.
The new mechanism has the following advantages over the previous implementation:
  • High performance. Cassandraemon now creates a compiled serializer for each type rather than using reflection APIs, and therefore it runs much faster than the previous version.
  • Customizability. The new serialization mechanism has a few point of customization so that you can hook serialization process and change how it works to match to your needs.
Please refer to Serializations topic for more details.
Also note that this implementation is back ported to 0.7 and 0.8 releases.
